About me
¡Hola!
My name is Raquel and I'm a professional native Spanish teacher.
I was born and raised in Cantabria, Northern Spain. I grew up in a small village halfway to the mountains and to the ocean, but
I have lived in many places...
I lived in Santander during my studies and also in Czech Republic as Erasmus student.
Once I finished my degree “Primary School Teacher”, I started another adventure: Au pair in The Netherlands. It wasn’t my idea to stay longer than a year, but I studied online to be Spanish teacher and started working as a freelancer in 2016.
I lived in Amsterdam for 5 years and worked for three language schools and on my own to private students in person and online.
As my profession gives me so much freedom, I could also live in Uruguay and in the Canary Islands .
From June 2020 you can find me connected from Santander, Cantabria.

All my Spanish lessons include advice about material, customized activities, online private board and homework correction.
How are the lessons?
In my Spanish lessons we use a communicative approach
whose main objective is to present a topic in context to offer a meaningful experience working on your speaking, reading, writing and listening skills.

you can choose the pack suits you best!
8 or 12 lesson’s packs are ideal for 60min. lesson per week or 18 lesson’s pack for 90min. lesson per week.

or to change/cancel free of charge within 24hrs. notice.

Frecuently asked questions
Which Spanish do you teach?
Spanish is a language spoken in 21 countries officially and incredibly diverse. As I’m from the North of Spain, my accent is Castilian, but there’s no best accent and in my lessons I’ll make sure you discover not only Spanish from Spain, but all the accents where you can speak it!
Does the rate per hour includes homework correction?
Yes, it includes preparation, material and, of course, advice and homework correction.
Is a 60 minutes class or 90 minutes class?
This is up to you! You can choose!
What happens if I need to cancel a class?
If you cancel 24 hours in advance, you don’t get charged and you can re-schedule the class for free. If you don’t, you get 50% charged.
What if one day our connection fails and we can’t finish the lesson?
No drama, that happens! We re-schedule in that case and make sure we have a good connection next time (www.speedtest.net).
How can I pay for my lessons?
What is the payment method?
It depends where are you living and which your bank is (banking transference, bizum/tikkie, PayPal…).
